GPS alarm buttons will be introduced to certain American civil protection
services, state and local government departments
QUEBEC CITY, April 17 /CNW/ - Medical Intelligence founder and president,
Louis Massicotte, will announce today, as guest speaker to members of the
Quebec Chamber of Commerce at the Château Frontenac Hotel in Quebec City, the
signing of a letter of intent with the American firm ASM Research Inc.
The agreement, once concluded, will enable Medical Intelligence to
penetrate the U.S. market - through certain American civil protection
services, local and state government departments and health care facilities -
with Urgentys, its new GPS mobile alarm button.
ASM Research Inc. will serve as Medical Intelligence's partner in
proposing Urgentys to the Department of Homeland Security, Veteran Affairs,
Department of Defense, Human Health Security and state and local government
departments in the United States. Among the solutions it provides, ASM
Research Inc. supplies software for disaster management and evacuation plans
in the United States.
"In the event of an evacuation or natural disaster, our devices can be
used by rescue units to locate and evacuate people in danger," stated Mr.
