Medical Facilities Corporation announces November Dividend

TORONTO, Nov. 21, 2011 /CNW/ - Medical Facilities Corporation (TSX: DR) ("Medical Facilities" or the "Company") announced today that a cash dividend payment of Cdn$0.0917 per Common Share will be payable on December 15, 2011 to holders of record of Common Shares at the close of business on November 30, 2011.

The ex-dividend date for this distribution will be November 28, 2011. Medical Facilities designates this dividend to be an "eligible dividend" pursuant to subsection 89(14) of the Income Tax Act (Canada) and its equivalent in any provinces of Canada.

Medical Facilities owns controlling interests in four specialty surgical hospitals, located in South Dakota and Oklahoma, as well as an ambulatory surgery center in California. The specialty hospitals perform scheduled surgical, imaging and diagnostic procedures, and derive their revenue from the fees charged for the use of their facilities. The ambulatory surgery center specializes in outpatient surgical procedures, with patient stays of less than 24 hours. Medical Facilities pays out a majority of its free cash flows from operations to holders of its Common Shares in the form of a monthly dividend.
