Media Reminder - New Library to Open for Jane/Sheppard Community Today



    Chief Librarian on Hand to Welcome the Community

    TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - A brand new Jane/Sheppard Branch will open to
the public at 4 p.m. today. Toronto Public Library will mark the occasion with
a celebratory ribbon cutting event open to all, including refreshments and
family entertainment.

    
    What:     Grand opening of the relocated Jane/Sheppard Branch, Toronto
              Public Library's newest building
    Where:    Jane/Sheppard Branch, 1906 Sheppard Avenue West (east of Jane
              Street)
    When:     Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 4 p.m. (Doors open)
              4:30 p.m. (Official ceremony)
    Who:      Toronto Public Library Board Chair Matthew Church
              Chief Librarian Jane Pyper, Councillor Maria Augimeri.
    

    The relocation and building of a new Jane/Sheppard Branch is part of
Toronto Public Library's ongoing building revitalization plan. In 2009,
Torontonians will benefit from the renovation and reopenings of Jane/Sheppard
Branch, Kennedy/Eglinton Branch, Bloor/Gladstone Branch and Thorncliffe
Branch.
