TORONTO, Oct. 8 /CNW/ - Centennial College's Centre of Entrepreneurship,
in partnership with Enterprise Toronto, is presenting "Going Green for the
Entrepreneur of the Future," the theme of this year's Toronto Small Business
Forum taking place on Monday, October 20.
With economic and environmental concerns preoccupying many Canadians, the
time is right to discuss ways to help small businesses cope with
sustainability issues in an increasingly challenging marketplace. Participants
can meet successful entrepreneurs in this tradeshow format, as well as
community leaders, government and college representatives, event sponsors and
other supporters of entrepreneurship - a prime contributor to Ontario's
Keynote speakers include Laurie Simmonds, President of Green Living
Enterprises, a one-stop environmental publishing, consulting, media and
marketing solutions provider, and Tom Heintzman, President of Bullfrog Power,
which has been making power generation an environmentally sustainable - and
marketable - commodity for years. The day will feature a variety of business
seminars and roundtable discussions, as well.
Centennial College has been operating Ontario's most successful Centre of
Entrepreneurship for the past 19 years, turning out well-prepared
entrepreneurs and counselling established small business owners about sound
business practices. In addition to fee-based consulting services, the Centre
delivers the Self Employment Benefit program, funded by the Government of
Ontario, available to past and current EI recipients.
