TORONTO, Feb. 29 /CNW/ - Ontario Information and Privacy Commissioner Ann
Cavoukian is holding a news conference Monday morning to release the results
of her investigation into a privacy complaint regarding the Toronto Transit
Commission's video surveillance system.
As well as the results of her four-month investigation into the privacy
complaint, her 50-page special report includes:
- A detailed review of the literature and analysis from various parts
of the world on the effectiveness of video surveillance;
- An examination of the role that privacy-enhancing technologies can
play in mitigating the privacy-invasive nature of video surveillance
- 13 recommendations for the Toronto Transit Commission.
