Media Invitation - Canadian Centre for Verbatim Studies Opens in Toronto

College Addresses Canada's Critical Shortage of Court Reporters and
    Broadcast Captioners

    TORONTO, Nov. 20 /CNW/ -

WHO: Media are invited to attend the inaugural open house for the
           Canadian Centre for Verbatim Studies

WHAT: An opportunity to see Canada's newest career college, and to learn
more about the country's only private training institution
dedicated to real-time court reporting and broadcast captioning.
Also, see real-time demonstrations of captioning by professional
           court reporters

WHY: Canada's critical shortage of court reporters means the industry
needs people - and it's willing to pay Bay Street-type salaries to
get them. Currently, more than 90% of Canada's broadcast
captioning is being done by Americans. (Even Queen's Park
captioning is being outsourced to an American firm)

    WHEN: Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 3-5p.m.

WHERE: 10 St. Mary Street, Suite 504, Toronto
(Two blocks south of Bloor, just off Yonge Street)

RSVP: Media are required to RSVP to Laura Cochrane
           lcochrane@lexpr.com
