Media Call - 126th Annual Police Games pit regional police teams in battle for athletic supremacy



    - Top 10 Canadian Idols Perform at Annual Fundraiser -

    TORONTO, Oct. 3 /CNW/ - The 126th Annual Police Games is an exciting
evening of athleticism, music and community in support of the Toronto Widows
and Orphans Fund. The athletic competition features a heated battle between
regional police teams in the Tug-of-War, Relay Race and Obstacle Course. With
performances by the Top 10 Canadian Idols, the Police Games are a fun night
out for the whole family.
    Participants include police teams from regions across the GTA including
Peel, York and Durham, Barrie Police, Toronto Jail, Toronto Fire and Military
Police.
    The evening also features performances by the Top 10 Canadian Idols in
their first concert since the show finale and is hosted by Ken Shaw.
    Proceeds from the Police Games go to the Toronto Police Widows and
Orphans Fund to provide monetary support to families of members of the Toronto
Police Service.

    Where:  Rogers Centre - Gate 9 (accreditation will be supplied upon
            arrival)

    Time:   7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (gates 6:30 p.m.)
