Media Alert - Statement from Luciana Brasil, Branch MacMaster, one of the lawyers representing the plaintiffs in the Ticketmaster class action lawsuits in Canada regarding media reports of a settlement in New Jersey regarding TicketsNow and Bruce Springsteen tickets

VANCOUVER, Feb. 23 /CNW/ - "It is encouraging to hear that Ticketmaster
is removing its web links to TicketsNow and is prepared to refund the higher
prices paid by some customers in the United States who were not able to
purchase tickets in the primary market as behaviour modification is one of the
primary goals of class actions. Although Ticketmaster appears to have modified
its behaviour, the modification unfortunately does not go the full extent
sought in our class actions. To the extent that this settlement makes certain
benefits available to consumers, it appears that the benefits are only
available in relation to the Bruce Springsteen concerts that gave rise to the
Attorney General's involvement, and does not extend to all above face value
purchases made by consumers in Canada from TicketsNow for events in Ontario,
Alberta and Manitoba in the last two years, which is the subject of our
lawsuits. Further, the benefits pertain only to certain purchases made from
TicketsNow, whereas our lawsuits also seek to recover additional charges and
fees paid by consumers in Canada to Ticketmaster in connection with primary
ticket sales for all Canadian events in the last two years."
