OTTAWA, July 31 /CNW/ - This Saturday, August 2nd, teams from across
Canada will be getting their home-made, human-powered, flying machines ready
for take-off at Red Bull Flugtag Ottawa-Gatineau, and you're invited to speak
to the teams and preview the crafts while they are still intact. Event day is
Sunday, August 3rd.
We're sure you already know, but just in case, Flugtag is German for
"flying day," and this weekend, 32 wild and wacky teams from across the
country will be strapping themselves to their totally outrageous flying
machines and launching them off a 22-foot ramp into the wild blue yonder, and
ultimately, straight into the Ottawa River.
So, find out who these zany (or even slightly crazy!) crew members are
and what made them think they could actual pilot a flying machine! They might
even be able to give you a quick flying lesson...or at least a personal
manifesto on why Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd rocks so hard.
