TORONTO, Sept. 4 /CNW/ -
WHAT: Communities across Ontario will launch respiteservices.com, a
web-based service designed for families caring for children and
adults with developmental disabilities to easily access respite
workers and respite services within their local community and
anywhere across Ontario. What was once a service feature
offered only in one city is now being replicated across the
province so families in Ontario can have better access to
respite services through respiteservices.com.
respiteservices.com is funded by the Ministry of Finance and
supported by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and
the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
WHO: Hon. Mary Anne Chambers, Minister of Children and Youth
Services, will be speaking at the event. Attendees will include
community host agencies of respiteservices.com, clients and
their families, municipal and provincial governments'
representatives, leaders of community-based organizations, and
other community stakeholders.
WHEN: September 6, 2007
11:00am - 2:00pm
WHERE: Courtyard Marriott
475 Yonge Street, Toronto
