Media Alert - Countdown is on: Only 30 Days left for Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition



    At the Ontario Science Centre Until January 6, 2008

    TORONTO, Dec. 6 /CNW/ - Visitors have only thirty days left to experience
the internationally acclaimed Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Ontario
Science Centre. The exhibition has engaged and intrigued adults and children
around the world. The tragic tale of the famous ship Titanic is brought to
life through photographs, sounds and stories of the passengers and crew
members. The exhibition includes over 280 artifacts recovered from the
wreckage site, 3,800- metres below the surface of the north Atlantic.

    Actors in Costume bring the real "Titanic" Stories to Life
    Starting 0n December 26, 2007 right through the holiday period to January
6, 2008, the Ontario Science Centre will provide an added feature for visitors
by bringing back the popular "Titanic Voices" to the exhibition. Using real
transcripts from Titanic passengers, actors will bring the stories of the
voyage to life and interact with visitors.

    Price: Included in admission to the exhibition

    Titanic Thursdays: Special Program for Children
    In addition, as a special program for children, Titanic Thursdays will
continue to run every Thursday through to December 31. Kids can find out what
children from the Titanic era played with and how similar these toys are
today. They will get to learn a little bit of history and get to play with
some of the toys used by children of the early 1900s. During this workshop,
they will also have an opportunity to make their very own toy and take it
home.

    (seating is limited - on first come first serve basis)

    Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition
    Location: Special Exhibition Hall, Level D
    Times: Dec. 6-24, 10:00am to 5:00pm/Dec. 26-Jan. 6 10:00am to 6:00pm
    Price: Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is a timed ticketed exhibition
    with a premium admission price of: $29.50 for adults, $23.50 for seniors
    (65+) and youths (13-17) and $19.50 for children, which include admission
    to the Science Centre.
