Media Alert - CMA sets sights on health care transformation at its 142nd annual meeting in Saskatoon, SK



    OTTAWA, June 25 /CNW Telbec/ - The Canadian Medical Association (CMA)
will hold its 142nd annual meeting (General Council) in Saskatoon at the TCU
Place , from August 16-19, 2009.
    This year the General Council theme is Health Care Transformation, We can
all do better.
    The key features of the meeting will be two strategic sessions on health
care transformation. One session will focus on the leadership of change with
Mr. Tony Dagnone, Commissioner of Saskatchewan's Patient First Review. The
second session will further discussions and debate on a framework for
patient-centered care. This framework was created based on a year-long
research and consultation effort to uncover ways to improve Canada's health
care system.
