Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - Raising the flag in support of people with an intellectual disability: City of Toronto hosts Community Living Day



    TORONTO, May 4 /CNW/ - As part of a month long, province-wide celebration
advocating for the rights of people with an intellectual disability, Community
Living Toronto will be raising its flag at Nathan Phillips Square.
    In addition to the flag-raising ceremony, Community Living Day in Toronto
will also include a dj-set by an individual supported by Community Living
Toronto, an art show by individuals with an intellectual disability, and a
free BBQ.
    For 60 years, Community Living Toronto has collaborated with the City of
Toronto to ensure a quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities
through employment support, education assistance and participation in the
community. During this partnership, individuals who have an intellectual
disability have been give the choice to lead meaningful lives in their
community.
