Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity - More than 100 KPMG Toronto employees help fight hunger



    Volunteer day part of nation-wide community outreach

    TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - Starting today, 125 KPMG employees are dedicating
work time this week to serving up meals and goodwill at nine local shelters,
schools and food services agencies across the GTA, including FoodShare and
Second Harvest.
    This work is part of KPMG Volunteers, a month-long initiative where more
than 800 employees in KPMG's GTA offices are donating the equivalent of three
years of time to local organizations. The initiative is national, where
employees from 34 offices across the country donate one day of their work week
to lend a hand to charities and not-for-profit organizations in their
community.

    
    What:   KPMG employees combat hunger in the GTA by volunteering at local
            food distribution agencies

    When:   FoodShare - Tuesday, October 2 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
            Second Harvest - Wednesday, October 3 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

    Where:  FoodShare - 90 Croatia Street (south of Bloor St. W. at Dufferin)
            Second Harvest - Unit 18, 1450 Lodestar Rd. (one block west of
            Allen Rd. two blocks north of Sheppard Ave)
