What: Hamilton City Councillor and GO Board member Bob Bratina
welcomes the extension of more GO Train service to Hamilton.
This is the first day of service for GO's new extended train
trip, from Hamilton to Union Station. This 12-car train, pulled
by GO's powerful MP40 locomotive is also the first new rail
service Hamilton has received since 2000. Councillor Bratina
will board the fourth Lakeshore West train from Hamilton headed
to Union Station, and disembark at Aldershot GO Station.
Councillor Bratina will be located in the accessible railcar -
fifth car from the locomotive - where he will be available to
answer media questions and pose for photographs.
When: Monday, March 2, 2009
Media are advised that the train will be departing Hamilton GO
Centre at 7:17 a.m.
