    What:     International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI)
              Conference 2007

    Why:      The international health and safety community will focus on
              Ontario's best practices in health and safety when the
              International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI)
              Conference 2007 lands, for the first time in North America,
              Toronto from April 18 - 20, 2007

    Who:      Partnering with the Ontario Ministry of Labour (MOL) and IAPA
              (Industrial Accident Prevention Association), in cooperation
              with the International Labour Organization (ILO), the
              Government of Canada, and Ontario's Workplace Safety and
              Insurance Board, IALI Conference 2007 will run in conjunction
              with IAPA's Health & Safety Canada 2007, Canada's largest
              health and safety conference and trade show

              -  This presentation will describe how CVRB Inco safety
                 management framework has enabled CVRD Inco to surpass its
                 corporate safety performance. By ensuring that all
                 employees, including managers at every level, starting with
                 the board of directors of the company, are accountable for
                 safety. (Note: a site tour of CVRD Inco in Sudbury is part
                 of the IALI proceedings - see below.)

              -  In 2006, farm workers were included in the Occupational
                 Health and Safety Act. A partnership was established between
                 the Ministries of Labour and Agriculture and Food - along

                 this new legislative requirement. The challenges and
                 opportunities of the past year will be discussed.

              -  Since breaking ground on May 28, 2003, the 70-by-80 metre
                 ROM site has become the centre of one of the most
                 challenging construction jobs underway in North America.
                 The Michael Lee-Chin Crystal comprises five huge 5-storey
                 forms - a complex structure, pushing the limits of steel
                 fabrication, construction and worker safety.
