annual Power Smart Forum to make it British Columbia's premiere conservation
event for businesses focused on reducing overall energy consumption and
implementing innovations that build a conservation culture in B.C.

The BC Hydro Power Smart Forum 2007 takes place Oct. 15-17 at the Westin
Bayshore and is expected to attract more than 350 participants from B.C.'s
The Forum will provide a range of new learning and networking
opportunities for all ranges of business customers by introducing new
environmental, social and financial sustainability topics into the program to
reflect the broader conservation movement taking place across B.C.
Keynote speakers at the Power Smart Forum 2007 include Peter Robinson,
who is Chief Executive Officer of Mountain Equipment Co-op. Peter will discuss
how MEC's long-term strategy marries leadership in energy conservation,
ethical purchasing and sustainability with a highly successful retail
strategy, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
