TORONTO, June 1 /CNW/ - Renowned architect and city-builder Eric R. Kuhne
presents his pivotal speech "Marketplace of Ideas." He advocates creating
mixed-use centres of excellence, connected to the city's soul by understanding
its culture, architecture, geography, customs and history.
The Toronto Economic Development Corporation is co-hosting the event with
the city's Planning and Growth Management Committee.
In his presentation Kuhne makes a passionate appeal to contemporary
society from his experience with cities across four continents. He analyzes
our collective responsibility in redeeming the vitality of cities, and through
examples of his projects worldwide presents his philosophy on city-building.
Eric Kuhne is a principal of CivicArts, an international design
consultancy in London, England. It is dedicated to the reintegration of
