    "The Good, the Bad and the Potentially (Un?) Ethical":
    a dinner seminar exploring ethics in communications

    TORONTO, Jan. 17 /CNW/ -

    
    WHAT:   This seminar, organized by the Toronto Chapter of the
            International Association of Business Communicators (IABC),
            focuses on ethics as presented by communication subject expert
            Eric Bergman. Janet Wile of Barrick Gold will also be recognized
            at the event as the newest Master Communicator (MC); an award of
            distinction granted to only one or two Canadian communicators
            each year for contributions to the profession.

    Topics to be covered include:

            - The role of ethics in decision making and organizational
              communication
            - How to solve ethical dilemmas in the workplace
            - The tools needed to work through real-life ethical issues

    WHEN:   5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 (presentation
            begins at 6:30 p.m.). Speaker Eric Bergman will be available for
            media interviews before and after the event.

    WHERE:  Ontario Bar Association at 20 Toronto St., Suite 200 in
            Conference Room A&B.

    WHO:    Eric Bergman, principal of Bergman & Associates (a consultancy
            specializing in presentation skills and media training, content
            development and issues management) will reveal the tools needed
            to work through ethical challenges in communications. Also
            designated a Master Communicator, Bergman is author of Media
            Training with Excellence, A Balanced Approach, a guide for media
            spokesperson training, published in 2006.
