As economic instability weakens Canada's housing markets, the
High-Performance Homes Partnership aims to help builders to survive, stand
out, and even prosper, despite the economic downturn.
The principle objective of the ENERGY STAR Outreach initiative is to
communicate to the public the value and benefit of purchasing an ENERGY STAR
qualified new home, and to raise awareness of licensed ESNH builders.
ENERGY STAR qualified homes are third party tested and certified to be
healthier, more comfortable, energy efficient, durable, and affordable and to
have a lower impact on the environment.
As licensed Service Organizations engaged in the delivery of Natural
Resources Canada's ESNH initiative, the members of the High-Performance Homes
Partnership play an integral role in the energy efficient housing industry,
and in Canada's strategy to reduce energy consumption and lower greenhouse gas
