Media Advisory - York Federation of Students to Host Panel on Electoral Reform



    TORONTO, Sept. 26 /CNW/ - In preparation for the vote on October 10, the
York Federation of Students will host a panel on electoral reform.

    
    Event:       Change the System: A Panel on Electoral Reform

    When:        Thursday, September 27
                 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

    Where:       York University, Keele Campus
                 Recital Hall, Accolade East
    

    The panel will discuss the debate about the proposed Mixed Member
Proportional (MMP) voting system which is the subject of the referendum on
electoral reform that will coincide with the Ontario general election.
    The panel will include: Ed Broadbent, former leader of the New Democratic
Party of Canada; Hugh Segal, Conservative senator and former chief of staff to
Prime Minister Brian Mulroney; and Kate Holloway, the Liberal candidate for
Trinity-Spadina.
