Media Advisory - YMCA and the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation Launch Program to Increase Post-Secondary Participation

TORONTO, Dec. 11 /CNW/ - Scott Haldane, President & CEO of the YMCA of
Greater Toronto and Norman Riddell, CEO & Executive Director of the Canada
Millennium Scholarship Foundation invite you to the launch of their new joint
initiative, the Post Secondary Access Partnership.
This partnership aims to open doors to a world of opportunities by
showing students who normally wouldn't pursue studies beyond high school that
they can and should go on to post-secondary education.
With nearly two out of every three new jobs requiring some form of
post-secondary training, and a workforce that will see significant retirements
in the years to come, harnessing the potential of the nearly 50% of Canadian
students who do not seek higher education promises rewards for every segment
of society.
