Media Advisory - Workers urge Councillors to vote for negotiation, not confrontation



    CUPE 907 members welcome Councillors at Chambers today, 3:30 PM

    BELLEVILLE, ON, July 21 /CNW Telbec/ - Municipal workers with the
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) 907 will greet Councillors today and
urge them to continue negotiations and vote against a motion that would lead
to a lock-out or strike.

    
        WHAT:     CUPE 907 lobbying Councillors as they go in camera
        WHERE:    Belleville City Hall, either main lobby or 4th floor
        WHEN:     Monday, July 21, 3:30 PM
    

    CUPE members will greet Councillors as they enter Chambers today in one
more demonstration of the union's desire to continue bargaining in good faith.
CUPE wants a fair collective agreement and hopes Council wants the same.
