Media Advisory - Workers at Scarborough seniors' residence will picket annual BBQ to protest cuts to care

TORONTO, June 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Workers at Sts. Peter and Paul Residence
in Scarborough will hold an information picket at the home's annual community
BBQ tomorrow (Thursday, June 26) to protest shift and hour reductions that
will hurt the quality and quantity of care provided to seniors.
Management at Sts. Peter and Paul has announced cuts to workers' shifts
that come into effect July 1. The changes will leave a single worker to ensure

before she ends her shift at 11 p.m. Previously, two people did the job, which
involves lifting residents.

Thursday, June 26 at Sts. Peter and Paul Residence, 221 Milner Avenue,
