Media advisory - What hides behind the new logo of the Corps of Comissionaires?



    OTTAWA, Sept. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - While the Corps of Commissionaires is
unveiling its new logo, its workers and their union are asking the Auditor
General to investigate some of the Corps' business practices.
    In its contract with Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC),
the Corps receives 80 cents an hour to pay for a bilingualism premium while
paying bilingual Commissionaires only 35 cents an hour. Where does the
difference go?
    In addition, while the Corps is demanding wage rollbacks and wages
freezes from its workers. it receives annual revenue increases of 3% in its
contract with PWGSC.
