Westport Innovations Inc., IMW Industries, and Terasen invite the media to a
news conference on Thursday, May 7th, 2009 at 11:00am for a significant
environmental and business announcement.
This announcement centers on a groundbreaking trial using clean burning
liquefied natural gas (LNG) to power heavy vehicles hauling Greater
Vancouver's municipal solid waste through the Fraser Canyon to the Cache Creek
Landfill Site. The trial, the first of its kind in Western Canada, is the
initial step in the company's plan to use renewable biogas in trucks generated
from the natural decomposition of garbage.
