Media advisory - Wal-Mart organizes a walk for sick kids



    Goal is to raise $500,000 for Opération Enfant Soleil

    MONTREAL, June 7 /CNW Telbec/ - Wal-Mart Canada will be presenting its
fourth Walk for Miracles on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at Angrignon Park in
Montreal's La Salle borough. The family event should attract more than
1,500 walkers and is expected to raise $500,000 for sick kids in Quebec. The
walk begins at 10 a.m. Several well-known figures will be on hand to host the
event, including Nascar driver Andrew Ranger, and singers Chantal Chamandy and
Hugo Lapointe.
    Wal-Mart's Walk for Miracles will take place simultaneously in 12 cities
across the country. The overall goal is to attract 15,000 walkers and raise
$3.5 million in donations.
