Media Advisory - VIA Rail President Hails Customer Focus as Strategic Business Advantage

MONTREAL, April 25 /CNW Telbec/ - Paul Côté, President and Chief
Executive Officer of VIA Rail Canada, will be speaking at a luncheon
presentation, organized jointly by the Moncton Rotary Club and the Greater
Moncton Chamber of Commerce. Media representatives are invited to attend.
As the country's national passenger rail operator, VIA Rail Canada has
made strong headway after a major setback a few years ago, when demand for
travel services dropped suddenly and dramatically, as a result of
unforeseeable events, such as 9-11 and SARS. To regain passenger interest, VIA
set its priority on customer service and what sets passenger rail apart as a
unique travel experience. Last year alone, over 4 million people traveled on
VIA trains.
