environmentalist in an effort unprecedented in sports
TORONTO, Dec. 6 /CNW/ - The National Hockey League Players' Association
(NHLPA) will join the David Suzuki Foundation (DSF) in announcing an
innovative partnership, the first of its kind in professional sports. Along
with Dr. Suzuki, NHLPA members will be on hand to disclose what players across
the league have done as individuals to take environmental responsibility. The
player-driven initiative, which started at the beginning of the 2007 NHL
Season, will engage hockey fans and the greater sports community in a
challenge to join the players in this worthy endeavour.
