Media Advisory - The largest bridge repair project in Canada - The Honoré-Mercier Bridge re-decking project: details and issues



    CHATEAUGUAY, QC, June 13 /CNW Telbec/ - The Honoré-Mercier Bridge
re-decking is the largest bridge rehabilitation project ever undertaken in
Canada. The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc., which is managing the
project, and the Direction de l'Ouest-de-la-Montérégie of the Quebec
Transportation Ministry will be giving a joint presentation outlining the
details and issues involved in this large-scale project this coming Monday,
June 16 in the Council Chamber of the City of Châteauguay.
    Media are invited to meet Glen Carlin, General Manager of The Jacques
Cartier and Champlain Bridges Inc. and Bernard Caron, Director of the
Direction de l'Ouest-de-la-Montérégie of the Quebec Transportation Ministry,
who will be presenting an overview of this major project, which is slated for
completion in 2011.
