The 8th edition of the 24 hours will undoubtedly win a place in the
schedules of skiers and fans of emerging music
MONTREAL, Oct. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - In order to offer a warm congratulations
to participants, donors and associates of the past seven years, organizers of
the biggest fundraiser in the North American ski industry invite the media to
a press briefing followed by a major party at the TELUS Theatre on Friday,
October 24 at 5:30 p.m.. Help ! Tribute to the Beatles will be part of this
party along with 24 celebrities including perennial event ambassadors Benoît
Gagnon and Philippe Fehmiu as well as Stephane Quintal, Pierre Bruneau,
Mathieu Proulx, Anik Jean and the members of Kain and Mobile.
During the event, the organizers and event partners will reveal the
program of the 24 hours of Tremblant weekend (December 12, 13 and 14). But
it's worth noting that the real "stars" of the event are the children who
benefit from the efforts of participants and the companies that donate. For
the 2008 edition, the 24 hours team will name a star : he or she will
participate in a special project whose objective will be to convey, with hope
as its theme, the human challenges that 24 hours represent in the life of a
child affected by an illness.
Event producer Simon St-Arnaud will present projects undertaken by
organizations that benefit from the funds raised during the 8th edition of the
24h of Tremblant, including the Fondation Centre de cancérologie
Charles-Bruneau, the Ottawa Senators Foundation and the Tremblant Foundation.
