Media Advisory - Students to Take Message to Voters' Doors



    Launch Canvassing Blitz Tomorrow

    TORONTO, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Tomorrow, the Canadian Federation of
Students-Ontario will launch a mass leafleting campaign for the Ontario
general election and referendum on electoral reform.
    College and university students will go door-to-door to deliver the
Federation's report card on the political parties' platforms and information
about the Students for Electoral Reform campaign. Students from a variety of
backgrounds and levels of study will be on hand to speak to reporters about
the evaluation of the Liberal, New Democratic, and Progressive Conservative
parties' platforms on post-secondary education and to provide photo
opportunities.

    
    WHAT:        Launch of Students' Door-to-Door Leafleting

    WHEN:        Wednesday, October 3, 2007 - 10:00 a.m.

    LOCATION:    University of Toronto Students' Union Office
                 St. George Campus
                 12 Hart House Circle, Toronto
    

    Media representatives are invited to follow student canvassers as they
deliver their message to voters in Toronto Centre, Trinity-Spadina and York
West.
    Students in Ottawa and Sudbury will also be delivering the report card
and electoral reform information door-to-door on Wednesday.

    The Canadian Federation of Students-Ontario unites more than 300,000
college and university students and 35 students' unions across the province.
