Media advisory - Snowangels descend on Parliament Hill once again on Family Day



    OTTAWA, Feb. 9 /CNW Telbec/ - For the second year in a row local
celebrities, radio show hosts, politicians and the public will be making snow
angels on Parliament Hill to celebrate Family Day and bring attention to the
number of children and youth in Eastern Ontario who need families.
    Foster families and their children from Belleville to Cornwall, Pembroke
to Brockville will be converging on Parliament Hill to demonstrate the need
for foster families for children in the care of Children's Aid Societies in
Eastern Ontario.

    
    When:                    Monday, February 16, 2009
                             Event: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

                             -----------------------

    Where:                   Parliament Hill, Ottawa
                             The event will take place on both sides of
                             Centennial Flame before the steps

Office will assist the media with photo ops at the event. The Children's Aid
Society of Ottawa has identified spokespeople, including Foster Parents and
former youth in care, who have provided the proper consents to release
information and who will be available to be interviewed and photographed
individually.
