Media Advisory - Science, Kyoto, Green Business, Canadians: All Demand Rapid Reduction of Global Warming Pollution



    TORONTO, April 26 /CNW/ - WWF-Canada, the conservation organization, will
host at a news conference on Friday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. to respond to the
federal government's proposal for regulating industry's greenhouse gas
emissions. The litmus test is whether real reductions will be achieved, in
line with Kyoto and deeper reductions deemed necessary to avoid dangerous
climate change. Dr. David Suzuki will speak at the news conference in Toronto.
    WWF-Canada spokespeople will also be available in Ottawa and Toronto for
comment immediately following the government's announcement on Thursday April
26th at 4 p.m.
