Media advisory - Provincial Child Care Funding Past Due: Advocates Re-Enact 2003 Promise to Invest $300 million in Child Care



    TORONTO, March 6 /CNW Telbec/ - Parents, children, child care staff and
advocates will gather for a re-enactment of the provincial Liberals' promise
of $300 million in new provincial funds for child care.
    That promise, made in September 2003 at the Withrow Child Care Centre in
Toronto, has not materialized in the three provincial budgets tabled since
then. Child care advocates are looking for this promise to finally come
through in the upcoming budget on March 22nd.
