Media Advisory - Ontario's Children's Aid Societies to launch Child Abuse Prevention Month on October 1st

TORONTO, Sept. 28 /CNW/ - The Ontario Association of Children's Aid
Societies and its member agencies will launch a public education campaign on
October 1st to remind Ontarians that child abuse remains a major problem in
Ontario.
Too many children in our communities are suffering abuse at the hands of
adults they know and trust, that's why every October, for the past 15 years,
Ontario's Children's Aid Societies have been educating and building awareness
during Child Abuse Prevention month to ensure children and youth are safe,
healthy and well cared for. This year, the public is reminded that "Abused
children don't always look it," because child abuse isn't always obvious.
