    animators

    TORONTO, April 24 /CNW/ - The Canadian animation community will join
executives from some of the top animation and digital media studios in North
America to officially open Sheridan Institute's new centre for animation. This
multi-million dollar facility is the latest milestone in Sheridan's 35-year
history as the leading animation educator in Canada.
    The celebration will be a 'who's who' of TV and movie animation and
feature remarks by renowned Canadian animation executive, Michael Hirsh,
President, Cookie Jar Entertainment, as well as tours and demonstrations of
the animated movie creation process by Sheridan students.
    Sheridan produces dozens of animators each year that go on to be the
talent behind some of Canada's most successful animation and digital media
companies, and Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.

    TIME:      Official opening ceremony, 6 p.m.

               Trafalgar Campus
               Sheridan Animation Centre
               1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville

               Enter via Sheridan's main entranceway just south of Upper
               Middle Road - once on campus there will be signage providing
               further directions.
