Media advisory - New report to reveal who gets hurt most by national affordable housing shortage



    OTTAWA, Nov. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - On the eve of National Housing Day, the
Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada (CHF Canada) will announce, during a
news conference on Nov. 21, the findings of a new report that shows which
Canadians are hardest hit by the affordable housing shortage in Canada and
where the problem is worst.
    On hand to speak to the report's findings will be Nicholas Gazzard,
Executive Director of CHF Canada and Sharon Chisholm, Executive Director of
the Canadian Housing Renewal Association. Linda Forster will also participate
in the news conference. A single mother, Ms Forster moved into co-op housing
and, as a result, now has a successful career in the field of property
management. Ms Forster still lives in her co-op.
    Economics researcher Will Dunning, who authored the report, "Dimensions
of Core Housing Need in Canada", will be available to answer questions about
the report's results immediately following the press conference.
