Media Advisory - National Aboriginal Health Organization will announce 12 new National Aboriginal Role Models on June 21, 2008



    OTTAWA, June 18 /CNW Telbec/ - The announcement of the 12 new 2008-2009
Aboriginal role models will take place on Saturday June 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m.
during an award ceremony with Her Excellency The Right Honourable Michaelle
Jean, Governor General of Canada at Rideau Hall in Ottawa, Ontario.
    The National Aboriginal Role Model Program celebrates the accomplishments
of First Nations, Inuit and Métis youth aged 13 to 30. The role models are
recognized for their innovation, achievement and leadership. Throughout the
year, they will visit First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities to share
their stories with other Aboriginal youth.
    The NAHO CEO, Dr. Paulette C. Tremblay will be available to answer
questions after the ceremony at Rideau Hall.
    The role models will also be celebrated at the Summer Solstice Aboriginal
Arts Festival in honour of National Aboriginal Day at Victoria Island,
(Ottawa) Ontario.
    The national spokesperson and role models will be available for
interviews immediately following the ceremony at Rideau Hall as well as
between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Summer
Solstice Aboriginal Arts Festival in honour of National Aboriginal Day at
Victoria Island, (Ottawa) Ontario
