Media Advisory - Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announcement about protecting Ontarians from disease outbreaks



    TORONTO, March 3 /CNW/ - On the 5th anniversary of SARS, George
Smitherman, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, will
outline how the new Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion, will
ensure better preparation for public health emergencies.
    Joining Minister Smitherman will be Dr. David Walker, the chair of the
Agency, and Dr. Sheela Basrur, former Provincial Chief Medical Officer of
Health and former Medical Officer of Health for the city of Toronto.
