from Lions Clubs International and District N2 (Nova Scotia) which will enable
the purchase of the first digital slit lamp camera and software system for the
Eye Care Centre at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. This high-tech equipment
will improve care for patients by helping the experts offer the most up to
date diagnosis and treatment to Nova Scotians suffering with diseases of the
The QEII Health Sciences Centre's Eye Care Centre is a national leader in
vision care, integrating high-quality treatment with academic programs and
leading-edge research. Each year the Eye Care Centre treats well over 40,000
patients and performs over 5,000 ophthalmic surgeries.
