Media Advisory - Kids Get Tips On Internet Safety



    TORONTO, Feb. 12 /CNW/ - Community Safety and Correctional Services
Minister Rick Bartolucci and Attorney General Chris Bentley will highlight
Ontario's cyber safety initiatives and promote Internet safety for children.
    Ministers Bartolucci and Bentley, joined by Etobicoke-Lakeshore MPP
Laurel Broten, will meet with Grade 5 students to talk about ways for kids to
be safer online. The event will include a demonstration of a new cyber safety
game developed by the Ontario Provincial Police and youth television network
YTV. It will also highlight brochures developed by the Canadian Centre for
Child Protection that offer tips to help parents protect their children from
abuse in cyberspace.
