TORONTO, June 5 /CNW/ - Are you listening? Have you heard? The end is
near! Jack Astor's is opening at Yonge and Dundas and to celebrate the
occasion, the restaurant is putting its unique twist on end-of-the-world
When: Visit Toronto Life Square on Thursday, June 5 and Saturday, June 7,
and see colorful, energetic characters dressed in chicken, cow, pig, carrot,
and lobster costumes walking up and down Yonge St., chanting every half hour.
Who: Who has the most to lose by Jack Astor's opening? The Chickens! The
Cows! The Pigs! The Lobsters! And the Carrots, to name a few. Yes, for them
the end really is near as people pile into Jack's to devour delicious items
off the menu.
What: They'll be engaging with the street crowd by handing out brochures,
bringing attention to the fact that "the end is near":
These characters will also be carrying picket signs and be wearing
sandwich boards, all with various Doomsday sayings.
Be sure to check out Doomsday at the new Jack Astor's in Toronto Life
Square (at Yonge St. and Dundas St.):
- Thursday June 5th (11am - 2:30pm & 4pm - 6:30pm); and
- Saturday June 7th (11am - 5pm)
It'll be a sight not to be missed!
