Media Advisory - International Olympic Committee Announces Call for Non Rights Holding Media to Apply for Accreditation to Cover 2008 Olympic Games



    TORONTO, March 1 /CNW/ - The International Olympic Committee (IOC)
announced today its call for non rights holding broadcast organizations to
apply for accreditation to cover the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. The 2008
Olympic Games are scheduled to take place August 8-24. The Canadian rights
holder for the Games is CBC / Radio-Canada.
    Canadian broadcast media are invited to go to the following section of
the IOC's website to access the appropriate form and instructions:
http://www.olympic.org/uk/games/beijing/accreditation_index_uk.asp
    All applications must be submitted to the IOC by June 8, 2007. The IOC
will not accept any applications submitted past the deadline.
    Please note that this is the only process for broadcast media to apply
for accreditation to cover the 2008 Olympic Games.
