VANCOUVER, June 5 /CNW/ - Marc Emery, Leader of the BC Marijuana Party,
is facing the possibility of life imprisonment in the United States for
selling marijuana seeds over the Internet to U.S. customers. With an
extradition hearing scheduled for later this year, Emery will share his
thoughts on his case and discuss his cause during the final evening of the
2007 spring cocktail series, Behind the Spin: Fraser@OPUS on Thursday, June 7.
Emery is the publisher of Cannabis Culture magazine and is often referred
to as "the Prince of Pot" by the news media. He has twice run for mayor of
Vancouver, in 1996 and 2002 when he finished fifth.
Behind the Spin: Fraser@OPUS offers a unique opportunity to discuss an
array of issues with opinion-makers whose leadership on key topics informs the
news and public debate. The speakers for the upcoming Fraser@Opus fall
