    WHAT:  Finance Minister James Flaherty will table a
           Federal Government Budget on Monday, March 19. The Budget follows
           months of consultations by the Minister and the House of Commons
           Standing Committee on Finance regarding key fiscal priorities. The
           Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) has focused
           its recommendations on the need to improve Canada's productivity
           and its capacity for innovation. Specifically, ITAC has
           recommended: Incentives for the adoption, especially by small
           business, of productivity enhancing technology. Reform of the
           SR&ED tax credit program and measures to ensure that Canada's
           personal income tax structure permits Canadian knowledge-based
           companies to compete for talent, especially in the market for
           highly qualified people. ITAC is also a member of the Canadian
           Manufacturing Coalition which has called for the full adoption of
           the February 2007 report of the House of Commons Standing
           Committee on Industry Science and Technology.

    WHO:   ITAC President and CEO, Bernard Courtois, will be available for
           comment following the release of the Budget.
