Media Advisory - Improving Access To Family Health Care And Emergency Room Performance - Technical Briefing



    TORONTO, Jan. 26 /CNW/ - A technical briefing will be held on the Ontario
government's plan to improve access to family health care and emergency room
performance and new initiatives, including Health Care Connect and the public
reporting of time spent in the ER.
    Participating in the technical briefing will be Dr. Alan Hudson,
Provincial Executive Lead, Access to Services and Wait Times; Dr. Joshua
Tepper, Assistant Deputy Minister, Health Human Resources, Ministry of Health
and Long-Term Care; Dr. Michael Schull, Director of Emergency Medicine at
University of Toronto and Expert Panel Lead, ER Wait Times; and Dr. Kevin
Smith, President and CEO of St. Joseph's Healthcare in Hamiltonand Expert
Panel Lead, Alternate Level of Care.
