    MONTREAL, June 11 /CNW/ - Leading experts in the shopping centre industry
will assemble for the International Council of Shopping Centers' (ICSC) annual
Quebec Conference, June 12-13, 2007 at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth,
Montreal, Quebec. This year's conference will shift its focus to marketing and
development strategies and analyze current trends offering the latest
international news and information related to the shopping centre industry.
    "Competition has become aggressive for shopping centres in Canada," says
Jean Laramée, ICSC Quebec Provincial Director and 2007 Conference Committee
Chair. "This year's conference introduces new marketing sessions to illustrate
how retailers must constantly reinvent themselves and find creative ways to
reach out to their customers in this increasingly competitive industry."

    STATE OF THE INDUSTRY, 9:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

    René Tremblay, ICSC Chairman, President and CEO Ivanhoe Cambridge, will
review current economic conditions and discuss the major retail issues facing
the shopping centre industry in Canada with a focus on Quebec.

    GENERAL SESSION: SPEED LEASING, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    Martin Lajeunesse, Government Approved Training Agent Persuasion
Communication, moderates this session which features top retailers including:
Chop Crazy, La Cage aux Sports, La Capsule Sportive and Aqua Lunch as they
present their newest development strategies.

    REVELATION OF THE 'X' GENERATION, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon

    The 'X' Generation, aged between 25 and 40 have entered the stage of life
where they are spending the most. Louise-Hélène Paquette, General Manager of
Market Research, Astral Media and Radio, examines this unique generation, its
way of life and the importance of maximizing it's marketing potential.

    WORK, SENSES AND PLEASURE: WHAT IF IT WAS POSSIBLE? 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

    Dr. Serge Marquis, Stress and Burnout Specialist, will discuss the
challenges that we face daily in our work, family life, leisure time and
relationship commitments. This session focuses on the stresses that we
experience from the constant demands being imposed on us, and will offer tools
that we can use to generate much needed balance in our lives.

    THE BRAZILIAN SHOPPING CENTRE INDUSTRY AND THEIR APPROACH TO MARKETING,
    2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

    Guest speaker Mariana Carvalho, Director of Marketing, Ancar Gestao
Integraded de Shopping Centres will discuss the nature of Brazil's shopping
centre industry and their overall approach to marketing. This session
introduces participants to the marketing challenges the Brazilian shopping
centre industry faces and creative tactics that they have developed to
distinguish themselves in a highly competitive market.

    DEAL MAKING AND TRADE EXPOSITION, Tuesday June 12, 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    and Wednesday June 13, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    The Deal Making and Trade Exposition will host a variety of exciting
trade booths, developers, retailers, asset/property managers, brokers, lenders
and suppliers, giving attendees the opportunity to develop new business
connections throughout the duration of the conference.
