Media Advisory - Hydro One grants $25,000 to the City of Brampton for new playgrounds, as part of its PowerPlay Program in support of Ontario play facilities



    TORONTO, Sept. 3 /CNW/ - Journalists are invited to attend a special
community celebration in the City of Brampton on Thursday, September 4, 2008,
as Hydro One Brampton President and CEO Roger Albert presents Acting Mayor Bob
Callahan with Hydro One's donation to the City.
    Hydro One has made a $25,000 PowerPlay grant to the City of Brampton, to
provide new play structures in two neighbourhood playgrounds: Goldcrest and
Havelock. The PowerPlay Program benefits children's outdoor and active play
facilities in Ontario communities served by Hydro One.
    Following a cheque presentation and brief remarks by Acting Mayor
Callahan and Hydro One Brampton President Roger Albert, children will be
invited to try out their new play equipment (at approximately 5:45 p.m.).
Interviews can be arranged in advance of the event, and on site. Councilors
will also be on hand to answer journalists' questions.
