Media Advisory - Hbc Donates $25,000 to the Marine Museum of Manitoba to Assist with Flood Damage

SELKIRK, MB, April 26 /CNW/ - Hudson's Bay Company (Hbc) is donating
$25,000 to the Marine Museum of Manitoba in Selkirk for artifact restoration
recovery after flooding caused substantial damage. The Museum has had its
doors closed to the public, and these funds will enable the community to once
again visit a part of Manitoba's history. In addition, Hbc associates from
Zellers, the Bay and Home Outfitters are stepping forward as volunteers to
assist with immediate recovery relief efforts.
The Marine Museum of Manitoba gathers ships, artifacts, and items
relating to marine life, and tells the story of the development and the
operation of marine life on Lake Winnipeg and the Red River. The period
covered by the Museum's displays starts circa 1850 and continues to present
day.
